Privacy Policy

The short version: your camera feed and all audio are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere. Last updated September 2026.

Camera and audio

Tunevate uses your webcam only inside your browser. Hand tracking runs locally through WebAssembly and your GPU. No video frame, image, or audio sample is uploaded, recorded, or transmitted to Tunevate or any third party. When you close the tab, that processing stops and nothing about it is retained.

What we do collect

To understand how the app is used and to keep it working, we collect:

  • Anonymous usage events — which pages and features are opened, which controls are used, errors, and timing. These events include your browser type, approximate screen size, and the page path. They do not include your name, email, or any content you create.
  • Your IP address, transiently, so our API can rate-limit abuse. It is not stored alongside the usage events as an identifier.
  • Aggregate performance and traffic metrics via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are cookieless and do not build a cross-site profile.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not set cookies for tracking.

Data stored on your device

A few small values are kept in your browser's local storage — for example, whether you have already seen the intro dialog. Loop and session files (.tvate) are saved only where you choose to save them on your own computer. Clearing your browser storage removes all of this.

If you contact us

When you send a message through the contact page, the email address and message you provide are delivered to us by email (through the transactional email provider Resend) so we can reply. We keep that correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request.

Third parties

The app is hosted on Vercel. Usage events are stored in an Elasticsearch instance we operate. The hand-tracking model files are fetched from Google's public model CDN and jsDelivr. Contact-form email is sent through Resend. Each of these receives only what is described above.

Children

Tunevate is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will be updated. Continuing to use Tunevate after a change means you accept the revised policy.
